Trek Program : 22 Nights / 23 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Delhi, check in at Hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 2: Train to Chandigarh, jeep to Pinjore. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 3: Jeep to Manali. Stay overnight at Hotel in Manali.

Day 4: Day free in Manali. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 5: Travel by jeep over 3978 metre Rohtang pass, gateway to Lahaul, to the Capitol of Keylong.

Day 6: Continue by jeep to Udaipur and camp nearby.

Day 7: Trek up the Miyar nullah (river) to Chamrat.

Day 8: Trek up the lush green valley to Urgos.

Day 9: Rest day: optional trip to the base camp of Menthosa, one of the great peaks of the Kishtwar Himalaya.

Day 10: Trek to camp above Tharang.

Day 11: Trek to Gumbah nullah.

Day 12: Trek to Kang la base camp.

Day 13: Trek to camp on glacier. A stupendous world of snow and ice.

Day 14: Trek over 5450 metre Kang La to the north base camp.

Day 15: We are now in the Zanskar valley. We descend sharply to Bardan gompa in central Zanskar.

Day 16: We continue along the Lingti river to Padum, Zanskar's capitol.

Day 17: Travel by jeep over Pensi La to Rangdum gompa.

Day 18: Travel by jeep to Lamayuru gompa, the oldest monastic site in Ladakh.

Day 19: Continue by jeep to Leh. Hotel there. (See list of Hotels below).

Day 20: Rest day in Leh.

Day 21: Tour of Shey and Tikse gompas, and Stok palace, seat of Ladakh's Royal family.

Day 22: Morning flight to Delhi. Check in hotel. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 23: Transfer to airport flight to onwards journey.
